About Mary Bradford
![]() Mary Bradfords strong work ethic, intregrity, and impressive creativity has made her one of Americas most sought after illustrators and writers. Mary Began her career in high school, with the legendary Walt Disney. Her senior year writing project and speech was on her mentor and future friend, Walt Disney. She filled the room with wonderful illustrations, a few from each movie that Walt did, even Steamboat Willy. Through Marys Verbal and visual appeal, she captured the curiosity of those both inside and outside the room that day, and it changed her life forever. After Her talk, a French teacher who loved her illustrations so much asked Mary if she could keep them to teach her class, (not knowing that this woman was so impressed that she called Walt Disneys corporate studio and spoke to Mr. Disney himself.) Mary said. Yes that would be an honor. Disney took a special to her school to meet Mary. They became instant friends and the benefits of the association began. Over the years, Walt showed an interest in her illustrations and taught Mary himself. During their initial visit , while Mary was still in high school, Walt remarked that Mary had a keen eye and her illustrations showed greatness and urged her to seriously consider pursuing The Disney World as a profession. Soon after graduating high school, Mary enrolled in The Philadelphia Art Institute. Mary met some of Disneys most talented people and her most memorable encounters are those she shares with her friends at Disney. Since graduating from The Philadelphia Art Institute, Mary has been a very sought after artist and writer. Marys illustrations have appeared in galleries in the Greater Philadelphia region and the state of California, as well as many fine art publications. Her poetry and writing have been published in Secrets of the Soul, Guided by Voice Eternal Portraits and Many other poetry books. And audio poetry CDs. Mary has won many elegant awards for her work included among them are 2000 through 2008 Editors choice Awards from The International Library of Poetry, which is a high honor. Mary takes her profession very seriously. There are so many emotions and wonderful things that occur while working on a project. Ill be the first one who remembers each moment because can come true with persistence and a splash of paint. Mary admits that she loves knowing her illustrations and writing will be enjoyed by children way down the road. Through the years Marys hard work and dedication, coupled with her acquired skill and technique, have gained her well- deserved acclaim. Marys success reflects not only her accomplishments and beliefs. But also an incredible love for life and visual effects. |
